The 2015 Shanghai Auto Show set the stage for Volva to unveil its Volvo Lounge Console concept. Designed for executives who prefer to be chauffeured, Volvo's concept looks to transform the front passenger experience by essentially reinventing the seat's position and its surroundings altogether. Taking executive luxury to the next level is the goal of the Volvo Lounge Console concept. By removing the rear passenger seat, Volvo was able to reposition the front passenger seat, effectively moving it closer to the rear of the cabin. In its stead, Volvo added a practical console that offers an array of luxuries, storage compartments and everyday conveniences. Features of the console include a plush foot rest, hidden compartments for shoes and jewelry, a foldout tray and a multimedia screen for passengers who are looking to disconnect on the road.
